Ok, I have been seriously slacking on my blog posts. I wish I could say I was living the life of leisure and completely forgot about my blog but unfortunately that was not the case. My life has been non-stop action since my last post. The boys and I have had an amazing fall and chaotic winter.
This fall all three boys and I attended JRTCA Nationals. Had a great weekend! The boys and I tried Go-to-Ground for the very first time and had a blast!! It was so amazing to see a dog work his natural instincts, so cool!! The boys definitely are hooked and can’t wait for another chance to chase the rats!! Of course we did our agility and everyone was great. Zip was a superstar but we missed the High in Trial Championship in the last class where I sent him to the backside of one of the jumps. Zor was my steady eddie ending up Reserve Champion!
After JRTCA Nats, Zip and I headed to USDAA Nationals in Murfreesboro, TN. Days were crazy long and courses were tough. Zip ran great in team and individual classes, making it to GP finals. Once again I sent him over the backside of a jump in finals…hmm, makes me think I may be working too many backsides these days!! Oh well could not have been prouder as by the end of the weekend Zip had earned us a spot on the 2014 IFCS Team USA We will be joining the team for the IFCS World Championships in the Netherlands!! So proud of my Zippydoodle!!
We were literally home 2 days from USDAA Nats and Zip and I were off again to compete at the US Open in NC, hoping for a spot on the 2014 World Agility Open Team USA. Both Zip and I were pretty exhausted after the marathon of showing in TN . But my little rockstar managed to put in some decent runs for a very good weekend. We earned a spot on the WAO Team USA as well!! This team will be
competing in Italy in 2014. Wow, wow, wow is all I can say!! So incredibly proud of Zippy, how did I get so lucky!! Our 2014 is going to be one crazy, fantastic ride!!!
In the middle of all our agility adventures, Brandon and I decided we are moving to Half Moon Bay, CA!! Talk about craziness!! Needless to say in the middle of everything we have been packing and planning for the move which we scheduled to happen after Thanksgiving. THEN, as if I wasn’t busy enough, we also added to our pack!! Introducing “Rockstar” aka “Roxy”!! Even though the timing wasn’t great, little Miss Roxy has been such a blessing. She is the spunkiest, funniest, happiest little dog. Everything I could have asked for in my next agility dog. I know I will be filling my blog up with our adventures very soon!
We have finally arrived safe and sound in Half Moon Bay after driving through one of the worst ice/snow storms the south has ever seen. We have been enjoying the beach and the warm temps. The pack and I can’t wait for our CA adventures to start!!
